Monthly Highlight Within_HER Muse was created to shine light and gain a deeper insight on some of our favorite humans that are not only inspiring the community but also making an impact in their city.
For our first launch we are featuring Anna Quan. Anna not only inspires us with her wabi sabi aesthetic and principles but educates us on all things wellness and health. From working as a medical aesthetician to recently founding Soso Matcha, a small tea brand that carries organic ceremonial grade matcha that is harvested in Uji, Japan. Read below as she continues to encourage all of us live a life that is healthy, happy and beautiful.

Ww: Can you please introduce yourself?
AQ: I’m Anna Quan and thank you for having me!
Ww: Where do you call home?
AQ: I call Charlotte, NC home. They call us unicorns?!
Ww: What are you passionate about?
AQ: I have a lot of passions- mostly creative outlets, but my biggest passion is the health and wellness world. I work in skincare (Plumped Clt) which is a medical spa specializing in advanced corrective skin care and micro treatments. I also own a small matcha and tea company called Soso Matcha. Both of which I am very passionate and proud of. I am super grateful I have been able to explore and combine two of my passions together. Matcha has amazing benefits for your health but also for your skin. My brand is based on making matcha to honor the traditional Japanese way of making tea but also to educate on the benefits of consuming green teas. There is a huge difference in drinking Ceremonial Grade Matcha and your regular matcha at big box companies. Follow us on ig! @sosomatcha @plumpedclt

Ww: What helps you show up as your best self?
AQ: Honestly, wake up and get yourself ready like you’re THAT girl. Getting myself together always makes me feel confident and like I can tackle the world. If you wake up and do the bare minimum, you will feel like the bare minimum. Creativity and a cup of matcha always helps!
Ww: What mistakes have you made along the way and what did you learn them?
AQ: Over analyzing and holding too high of expectations for myself and other people. I have learned and I am still learning that no one will love you more than you love yourself, so it is important to give yourself grace and treat your mental and physical well-being as good as you can. At the end of the day, we only have one life, so treat yourself kindly ❤️
Ww: How can the Women Within community support you?
QC: I think this blog and highlighting women is already a great start to support! Ultimately I think, having an open mind, supporting small women owned businesses and highlighting special moments for women who are out here killing it is a great way to show support.
